Here is the video premiere of the latest single from La See Night, the music project by the guitarist and singer-songwriter Linda Sao. “NYC coat” is a raw, slimmed -down song that reflects the simple topic in the heart in the replacement instrumentation and arrangement. Sao explores the fleeting nature of the love for tour musicians, while she sings quietly and with resignation to say goodbye to someone who wants to go on tour and do not want to leave her hug. She says: “I first heard this occasionally iPhone recording and knew that this was the case that this was the attitude. Simple and fundamental singer-songwriter, mistakes and everything. No break or bridge. No reverb or vocal mic. It is a poem. I saw the work of the animator Rnotte and knew that she could create a simple but charming interpretation of this experience, only a girl and her guitar. The animation has an innocence, as has an innocence for this slimmed down ballad without bells and whistles that deal with such basic human emotions. I wrote 'NYC -Mänt' in a very private moment that had an increased lonely nature due to the pandemic – but now this video brings the listeners into the room with me.
