Sennheiser sends his first video bars for meeting and learning rooms

The German AV brand Sennheiser has joined Logitech, Bose and Jabra through the start and now two video bars. The new products are part of the Sennheiser TeamConnect family and are classified as TeamConnect Bar S and TeamConnect Bar M. As the two names suggest, one is an ultra-compact video bar for the smallest Huddle rooms, while the other is suitable for somewhat larger rooms.

Sennheiser was founded at the end of 1945 and will soon celebrate its 80th anniversary. A family company remains and produces a variety of headphones, microphones and conference devices. The brand's consumer goods are now manufactured by Sonova Holding AG under license, but the professional side of the business, like the TeamConnect product family, remains firmly in your own house.

For this practical article I looked at the TC-Bar S, the smaller of the two new video bars. The TC rod, which is played directly against Logitech Rally-Bar-Huddle, comprises four built-in and two integral speakers in the radiation formation microphones. The amplifier of class D can output up to 20 W peak, which is sufficient for a small meeting room.

4K Ultra HD -Webcam

The onboard -Webcam has 4K Ultra HD resolution and AI functions such as “Autoframing” and “Person Tiling”, so that all remote participants can see everyone present in the meeting room. Sennheiser says that with advanced AI even small gestures and facial expressions can be clearly conveyed in order to increase the feeling that everyone is contained and committed.

The webcam has a look at 115 and 120 degrees, which is wide enough to cover a small meeting or a Huwdle room. However, there is also a 3x digital zoom function that can get closer so that all participants can be seen clearly.

The device was specially developed for integration into a variety of meeting rooms and has several assembly options such as a wall bracket, a vesa bracket, a tabletop positioning or free -standing. Users also have the option of using Dante devices for adding extension -mics and even a second external USB webcam so that the TC -Bar S can be used in a slightly larger area.

When it comes to audio, the TC-BAR S relies on some of Sennheiser's proprietary technology, and the company claims that both models provide high-quality audio that use the know-how from Sennheiser's conference audio products. The combination of the four Beamforming meme microphones and the twin speaker makes the TC -Tange S suitable for Huddle rooms and small learning and meeting rooms.

If additional audio or video coverage is required, each Dante-capable device can increase the flexibility of the TC balcony devices. A secondary PTZ camera could be added with a USB connection. Since the TC beam units are designed in such a way that they are simple plug-and-play devices, both models are easy to use and set up with each host device.

For companies with IT departments, the TC bar units can be managed from a distance using Sennheiser's control cockpit app, which also offers high-ranking security during the establishment and configuration of the products. Sennheiser Control Cockpit is currently only available for Windows, but Sennheiser says that a MacOS version is in development and will soon be available.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the open and agnostic ecosopolitan philosophy of Sennheiser. This means that both TC bar models are compatible with many important media control systems from Sennheiser's Alliance partners such as Crestron, Exon, Lightware and Q-Sys. Meet platforms such as Microsoft teams and zoom are also certified. For wireless cooperation, both TC bars are certified with Airtmen, Barco and Crestron Airmedia.

Several functions are supported for basic manual adjustments, including zoom, personal tiles and others. All of these are accessible with the supplied remote control. For most users of the TC bar units, the remote control offers the necessary control. Simply join the TC -Bar in a laptop or meeting room desktop, start zoom or microsoft teams and the rest is quite automatic.

When it comes to security, Sennheiser points out that the new TC bar units follow the best safety practices in the industry, whereby the configuration is protected. Communication with the Sennheiser Control Cockpit and with media control systems from third-party providers is encrypted using the industry-standard transportation safety 1.2 that should protect it from abuse. Both TC beams also support the IEEE 802.1X network authentication. There is a physical lentil's cap for those who are concerned about privacy, there is a physical lentil's cap.
