Several medals, Relay School Record illuminates the third day of men S&D at Ivies

Providence, RI – On the third day of the Ivy League championships, the swimming and diving team at the University of Pennsylvania won three medals and grabbed a school record in a season event when Penn took the seventh place with 463.5 points into the last day of the Katharine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center at the Brown University.

Silver medals for Matt Fallon (100 breaststroke) and Peter Whitttington (400 im) and a bronze for Watson Nguyen (100 breast) were only the beginning when the 400 Medley relay broke a school brand to close the evening.

*Whittington almost became an Ivy champion in the 400 in, when Browns Marton Nagy hardly excluded him when the former drove a time of 3: 43.25 to win the silver medal. Andy Zhou Swam A 4: 02.90 to occupy seventh place in the C finals.

*Fallon won another medal at Ivies and took silver in the 100 breast after a 51.56 to end directly behind Browns Jack Kelly (50.60). Both Fallon and Kelly exchanged Ivy Records all day, when Fallons 51.46 played the brand during the preliminaries, but Kelly's title clinching swimming took the cake. Nguyen earned a bronze medal in his first Ivy meeting with a 51.61. Colin Zhang Tied with a time of 54.74 for sixth place in the C-final.

*James Curreri In the 1,000 free sixths with a time of 9: 01.14. Max Malakhovets With 9: 16.78 with the 17th place with Cooper Nicholson in the 21st (9: 19.97).

*Alex Fu Swam 47.65 to take fifth place in the B-final of the 100-butterfly. Jeffrey Hou Close Benji Ham Swam 49.77 to take the seventh place.

*In the 200 free Daniel Gallagher Swam a 1: 36.75 to take sixth place in the B final Can John Yeniay Fifth at 1: 38.61 and Ryan McGuirk took the sixth (1: 39.01).

*The quartet of Curreri, Fallon, Fu and Liam Campbell With a time of 3: 08.82 in the 400 Medley Relay, a new school record, sixth place. The brand was returned by Jack Hamilton, Fallon, Fallon, Fallon, in 2022 (3: 09.40) Andrew dai And Ben Feldman.

Penn closes Ivy Championships with seven events on Saturday, including 1,650 Free, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, three-meter dive and 400 Free Relay. The preliminary rounds start at 11 a.m., followed by a final at 6 p.m. Both sessions are streamed live on ESPN+.
