The father of a 15-year-old girl was arrested on Saturday

The deputies responded to an address in the Silver Summit area around 10 p.m. and watched around 50 cars parked on the street. “Many young people” ran out of the residence when the MPs approached, but one person stated and confirmed that there was a party with a minor drink.

An adult man answered the door when the MPs knocked and identified as owners of property. The MPs suspected that he had drunk and the man said that his 15-year-old daughter asked if she could have friends in the house.

The man claimed that he did not know what was going on in his residence, which due to the sheer number of young people and how loud the interior of his place of residence was not feasible, ”said the police report.

The deputies consulted with the law firm of the Summit County to receive advice and then arrested the man because he had contributed to the delinquency of a minor. He was taken to the Summit County prison.

The sheriff's office answered several other calls between Monday, March 10th and Sunday, March 16, including bodily harm, wrong trip and an injured snowmobile driver.

Sunday, March 16

Search and rescue assisted on a medical call in the East Weber Canyon Road. A snowmobile reported a possible spine fracture. Search and rescue helped to transport the snowmobile to a medical helicopter, which landed on site.

A man wanted to hand over to the sheriff's office. He had an arrest warrant from Summit County over three crimes. The MPs took the man in custody and booked him in prison.

Saturday, March 15th

The MPs responded to an attack in the progress in the Snyderville pool area. The “prevailing attacker” was identified based on video material and testimony. The person was arrested for assault, property damage, threatened others and poisoning.

Thursday, March 13th

The MPs carried out a traffic stop on a vehicle due to a license violation. A K9 unit alerted the MPs on narcotics and found drug utensils. They arrested the driver and transported them to prison.

Summit County Dispatch gave a call to locate a vehicle that drives in a west direction in the alleys in the east of SR 40. The MPs found the vehicle and stopped it near the intersection 80. The male driver supposedly showed signs of impairment and was difficult to show in field native tests. He was taken into custody and the MPs were looking for him. They found a “wax -like substance that was later tested positively for THC”. The driver was brought to the Summit County prison and booked because he drove under the influence and has marijuana.

Tuesday, March 11th

Search and rescue reacted to the area of ​​Whitney Lake after receiving a report on overdue snowmobile. The snowmakers had contacted family members to say that they had problems with their sledges. They gave up the machines and tried to hike out of the area. Search and rescue were able to set the party and transport it safely from the mountain.

Monday, March 10th

The MPs stopped a vehicle after observing a moving violation. They used a K9 unit and searched the vehicle, found drug utensils and a “user amount” of a controlled substance. The driver was arrested and taken to the Summit County prison.

A K9 unit alerted the MPs on the presence of narcotics during a traffic stop on the I-80. The MPs searched the vehicle and found fentanyl and drug utensils. The driver was arrested, but the passenger was released with the vehicle.
