Shockers end the OU tournament 3-1 record-the-die sunflower

Senior Caroline Tallent initially expects a runner. Last season Tallent set a new record for the single season for the university with 16 goals from Pitches.

Wichita State Softball took three out of four games at the OU tournament in Norman, Oklahoma. The Shockers defeated the bowling Green State University and the Abilene Christian University twice. The only loss of the shocker came to the hosts, No. 2 University of Oklahoma.

The Shockers have a 9: 5 season record and have lost all four games against ranking teams.

Saturday

Bowling green

After Only achieve 12 runs Last weekend, the state of Wichita scored the ground in the first Matchup against bowling Green. The Shockers scored 15 runs in a 15-4-run-rule victory against the falcons.

Bowling Green scored in the first inn, but the shockers stacked in the next six runs with the help of three falcon errors.

Wichita State scored four runs in the third inning by scoring two doubles with back-to-back double. Sami Hood, second Baseman of Junior, extended the lead with her second Homerun of the season in the fourth inning to 11 runs.

The Shocker's defense has made five mistakes in the season heights. In the district, the newcomer Ava Sliger achieved her first victory in her college career and gave up four undeserved runs.

No. 2 Oklahoma

In the seventh, the Shockers achieved an insurance run from a hood single. Junior Pitcher Alex Aguilar won her fifth win of the season and the second Pitcher Chloe Barber received her second rescue location. With the victory, the boss top ball coach Kristi Bredbenner won their 400th game as head coach of the Shockers.

Abilene Christian

Wichita State ended the OU tournament well and beat Abilene Christian 10: 3 for the second day in a row.

Wichita State first climbed onto the board when Hood hit an RBI single. The wildcats tied the game after a mistake.

In the third inning, the juniors Taylor Sedlacek and Jodie Epperson as well as the senior camryn compton achieved all Homeruns. In the sixth inning, the Shockers set up four runs with the help of three wildcat errors.

The softball team will travel home for the first time this season to play in the Shocker Invitational. From Thursday, February 27 to Sunday, March 2, Wichita State will compete against Oklahoma State University, the University of Missouri, South Dakota State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
