Shooting on five-star recycling leads to persecution and the officer who was involved

The Sheriff's office of the Muskogee County published Body Cam video of a shootout involved by officer, which took place on March 8.

The MPs responded to a reported shooting on the five star recycling in Oktaha around 5:55 p.m. and identified Aaron Wilson as a suspect. Wilson had fled in a white Malibu before the MPs arrived at the scene.

At the scene of the crime, two shooting victims and several shell were wrapped.

A few minutes later, at 6:09 p.m., the Muskogee police received a report on a shootout in 2220 Topeka.

When the officials arrived, they found the victim, 40-year-old Rolando McConnell, with a gunshot wound. The police report that the suspect fired at least 14 laps and hit the victim 11 times.

Witnesses reported that Wilson was left in a white Malibu.

The officers of Creek Nation Lightheorse discovered Wilson's vehicle to get gasoline at 40th and OKMulgee and started persecution.

At the end of the persecution, shots between Wilson and the police were exchanged, and Wilson was depressed. He was released from medical care and instructed to the Muskogee County Detention Center.

The Muskogee police authority examines the shootout and will present the report to the district attorney of Muskogee County Larry Edwards for review.

He will determine whether the shootout was justified.
