Shreveport -Bossier, La. (KSLA) – Families and friends from all over the arklatex joined the last day of the Mardi Gras celebrations on Tuesday (March 4).

“This is our fourth year here at the lake. We love love, love, love mardi gras, but we also love Zydeco, so we combined it, ”said Alexandria Jameson, manager in Orlandeaux café.

Jameson says she and her brother have shaped the notorious name “Zyde Gras”.

“Zydeco is of course music that comes from the south and of course the Cajun music, the Creole music or whatever. So you take it and combine it with Mardi Gras, ”said Jameson. “This is the kind of music you play, so we are lovers of Zydeco music. Why not mix with Mardi Gras? Just call it cyde grass. ”

Another carnival celebration took place in Bossier City – the annual children's parade on Tuesday on Tuesday. Kewes rolled on her characteristic swimmers and gave unique throws.
