Softball Drops defeats George Mason 6-1 on the last day of the load on classics

Orlando, Fla.- The Providence College softball team defeated the George Mason Patriots 6-1 in the last competition of the charges of the Friars on Sunday, March 2, in Orlando, Florida. Sophomore Cameron Dunn (Bothell, Washington) recorded her fourth Homerun of the season and the second time of the weekend and took 2: 3 from the plate. Emma Doum (Midland Park, NJ) and Gabriella Lee (Belmont, California) ended with two RBI that day.

Game notes vs. George Mason

  • Lee opened the gate with an RBI single in the first (1-0).
  • Dunn followed with a Homerun in the fourth. Her fourth season and second weekend marked (2-0).
  • The brothers added three more races in the fifth Emma Doum (Midland Park, NJ) (5-0).
  • Lee bored another RBI single in the sixth to bring the lead to 6-0.
  • The patriots scored a late run in the seventh, but the brothers could be finished 6-1 with the tip.
  • Jessica Walter (Middletown, del.) Received a complete game for Providence and won their first win of the season. The senior recorded six strikes while collecting only five goals, and one earned over 28 bats.

On deck

The brothers will launch their big East time plan by organizing the Creighton Bluejays in a series with three games from March 7th to 9th. The competitions are played on Glay Field in Providence, RI, with the opening game in the Big East Network and the next two charisma.
