TopSail Hill State Park to Navarre Airbnb

After I packed in the dark, I went back to the beach over the kilometers of paved tram road. At the end of the promenade I carried out some selected routes and then stepped back on the sand, bound west. The air was full of fog and I tried to find out which headlight setting I preferred. After a few minutes I just went without it, even though it was pretty dark.

It was still dark on the beach in the park, but the bright lights of condominiums were intrusively illuminative.

I hugged near the water; The waves invite you to the shore, flat and then withdraw. My preferred track was the room in which the sand is packed down and still slightly saturated. The dry loose stuff is one of the most difficult to walk out there.

This near the coast is a great place to be a wannabe nature photographer. Everything is washed here; The human effects have disappeared, if only in this small zone and if only on the surface level. When you start looking deeper, our effects run through everything.

5:52 a.m. was the time when I passed the first human beach hikers.

I felt that the birds had fun this morning. I certainly enjoyed watching me, especially the little plovers. I call them that anyway. You ornithologists and general bird enthusiasts have to correct me if you are wrong. I wondered if they were looking for sand fleas because I could see how they pull small white things out of the surf zone. I fished from the shore in the golf and sometimes we used a net -like apparatus to catch sand fleas for bait. They are small crab -like things. Actually, when I looked up, they are technically referred to as mole crabs.

Merganser?

6:23 am when the sun hit my back for the first time. It was wonderful! This was probably a later time when it would have been, because there were huge buildings and clouds that hid them before looking.

Son of Poseidon (ect day 58)

Art! I want to attribute this beautiful sand castle, but it was not me … just appreciate a well -designed and well -constructed connection. My family would not have been surprised if that had been … I was known for hurling some sand during my day.

6:50 a.m. I hold the beach to the bike path. The reason … bad ass coffee!

Whoa begins to look a little grizzly.

Well, your marketing really got me. It was good, but was it bad ass? Hmm, that's up for debate. I made my drink, although it had quality and delicacy, but did not give me the feeling of the bad explanation. In fact, my controversial opinion would be that in this category nearby, as I can judge, you are below average below average. The proof of this is based on the inside of the place, which felt very commercialized and honestly, very overpriced. I would expect a place with such a name to be unique and has a much local feeling. You should probably offer something that nobody else thought of and are on the groundbreaking edge of the craftswoman “Bauerkreigung”.

Anyway … Next.

When I went again, I discovered the highlight of the day and maybe the entire trip so far. No, no other rusted tube. When I climbed the street, a woman drove on a pretty stylish scooter (moped) that disturbs melodies. Together with her in a legitimate side car, her dog was with huge reflective sunglasses! It was difficult to say, but I'm pretty sure that it had the time of his life. Unfortunately I was too slow to get video material, but it only felt good when I got it … I really lifted my spirits who happen to such things in the world.

I didn't stay up long and instead decided to go back to the beach.

8:10 I'm too close and a Monster Rogue Wave soaked my left foot. Crap, but I have persistent.

I've mentioned my connection with water here a few times. Today was another memory for me. When I'm on the water, my soul seems to fly. My title comes for it. For those who are not familiar with Greek mythology or who have not read the Percy Jackson books (PJ), Poseidon is the Olympic god of the sea. In the PJ books, our protagonist Percy Poseidon's son, a half blood, and when Percy comes close or in water, he gets god-like powers. I feel similar, except that I don't fight giant or cyclops or the war god. I just feel pretty good.

Unfortunately I couldn't stay all the way on the beach. The first obstacle was East Pass, a waterway, the Choctawhatchee Bay connected with the Golf. Instead of wishing another miracle as in St. Marks and waiting for me, I decided to go inside and take the bridge. The crossing of the bridge brought me to Iceland Okaloosa, where I was able to return to the waters.

Very touristy to go to the bridge. Alvin's island is a classic down here. I personally am part of Souvenir City because they have huge shark inputs, but whatever your boat floats. I think Alvin somehow took over.

Looks like fun for me. Should have made a pit stop.

In addition to the TopSail Hill State Park, where I stored this morning and started this morning, there were two more “natural” rooms, Henderson State Park and an area of the Eglin Air Force Base property. Each was a few miles beach. The Eglin country was right after crossing the bridge. I had received free permission online and it was great. Very few people compared to anywhere else.

My count was up to 4 for whole sanddollar, all small like this.

Another first -class castle.

The Eglin Beach turned into condominiums and tourist beaches that culminated on Okaloosa Island Pier. This was the transition point of the day when I then left the bank to easily walk inland on the other side of the Santa Rosa sound. I thought I was better to swim to swim, although some somehow clouded it. The water was much colder than yesterday, more like an average summer water temperature of the Michigan lake. It was refreshing and wonderful!

As soon as I was over the bridge, I found the Shack restaurant and decided to pamper and refuel what I expected to be a slog of a cassette section for the sidewalk. Fried shrimp are one of my favorites ever and this batch has not disappointed. The only thing I wanted was that there were about four times as many with my hiking hungry!

My prediction that it was a long tedious roadside was correct. This was the disadvantage of the alternatives, but it wasn't that bad. Just a chance for me to take the earphones and listen to some melodies and podcasts.

I had eaten again and booked an Airbnb room. The room was just in front of a Walmart supercenter, so I stopped first. Originally I just wanted to get some food for the night and my morning, but I thought I would try to do my supplies for the next route. I think it will take about 4.5 days to stop in the next business. Pretty long -lasting for the FT. The crazy thing is also that the next replenishment will be in a different state. What!? Yep, wild huh.

The house was down this street and I giggled here and thought and thought that it looked strange like a private trip in Harry Potter. Maybe I had just had HP in my head since I bought a few random goldfish crackers who were seasoned HP butter beer.

I fought with the electronic code keyboard, but finally came to my room and started all tasks. Mainly laundry, showering and spreading my things throughout the room to be broadcast. It was wonderful and needed!
