South Carolina Softball reaches 15-0 start | USC Gamecocks Sport

“I want to score a little earlier in the game and have a little more running production,” said Chastain Woodard. “There is not much that I would change now, so I probably nod to say something.”

On Sunday, the USC ended the third tournament in the season against the rebels (9-5). UnlV pressed the pedal early and found in almost every AT-BAT in the first open field. The rebels led 4-0, the greatest deficit this season.

Gress was reliefed and held Vegas until the fourth stop. She ended with three runs, three walks and two strikes in four innings.

In the third, USC found a dynamic and a single from Junior Lexi Winters the lead of the rebels to 4: 3. Chance Band the game in fourth with a double that ran in Arianna Rodi.

Then the Gamecocks rolled again. Chancey hit two doubles, the three placed and USC finally leaded the lead forever. A four-run hole turned into a 9-4 win.

The star of the weekend was Junior Quince Lilio, who had eight hits and nine rbis. She beats over 1570 games and scored the goal when USC needed it most urgently.

“Our preparatory trainer helps me a lot because I go to her with many questions,” said Lilio. “So in my preparation and what we do in practice helps me in the box.”

Karley Shelton now has second place in the order and has found her swing and self -confidence on the plate. Her weekend statistics included seven hits and three RBIs. After the game of Fordham, Chastain Woodard described Shelton as the future leader of the team, and Shelton noticed the improvement of her game.

“I worked with a mental trainer every week, and I wanted to build that up this year, and it helped me to get another aspect in the game enormously,” said Shelton. “It's really something that really helped me and something that my game really changed.”
