South Lake Tahoe Fentanyl Deaths still examined

The death of four people at a Super Bowl party in South Lake Tahoe, which included two brothers with Carson Valley bonds, remains examined 13 months later.

The public prosecutor of El Dorado announced the Tahoe Daily Tribune that it could not deliver public updates to Clifford and Adam Joy's death, which had died together with Abraham Lemus and Keely Pereira.

The mother of the brothers, the Daisy Joy Bankofier based in Minden, said she spoke to a detective “South Lake Tahoe” in early February, who confirmed that there was still an active examination.

“The detective assured me that the investigation was in full swing, but could not tell me when it would be charged with anyone because the case was built,” she told the RC on February 19.

She said the detective told her that the entire department was working on the case.

“Every day my heart hurts for the loss of our relatives, who are still poisoned (murdered) by people who deal with this drug – especially for the ignorant,” she said on Tuesday.

The four were found on February 12, 2024 by Clifford Joy's wife Katrina.

They had received the cocaine the night before and Katrina described the scene in an interview with RC on February 22nd.

“Towards the end of the night, they decided to pick up a bag of cocaine,” said Katrina. “I fell asleep while they were gone.”

When she woke up the next morning on February 12th, she found Pereira and started CPR. Then she saw that her husband had also succumbed.

A bag of white powder was still on the table, she said.

“You obviously bought that and were still completely full,” she said. “The official grabbed and tested it immediately and said it had almost 20 percent fentanyl.

Both women said that none of the people in the house were regularly users.

Last year, the residents held a vigil for those who died after the Super Bowl from a drug official. Abraham Lemus, Keely Pereira, Clifford Joy and Adam Joy had taken cocaine that was laced with Fentanyl.

The public prosecutor's office of El Dorado announced the tribune that the examination has not yet been completed and had no publicly available updates.

California pursues drug dealers who have sold fentanyl, which led to the murder of death.

On December 5, 2024, a man in Placer County became 20 years to live in the fentanyl death of 2021 due to murder.

A 63 percent increase in fatal fentanyl overdoses over the past 14 months prompted the Alpine County Sheriff Tom Masker to explain an emergency that was ratified by Alpine County Supervisors on September 30th.

In recognition of the significant effects of the opioid crisis, $ 343,000 will go to the Washoe Hung-A-Lel-Ti community in Woodfords.

The increase primarily influenced the Washoe community, including several almost fatal overdoses, and, according to the explanation, has overwhelmed local emergency services, public health resources and law enforcement authorities.
