SpaceX is working on expanding rocket facilities along the Floridas Space Coast

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. – SpaceX, the company behind the Starship Rocket, is planning an investment of 1.8 billion US dollars along the Floridas Space Coast to improve the Kennedy Space Center of NASA and the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to support future Mega rocket.

SpaceX recently announced plans to build a 380 -foot high, state -of -the -art facility, which is known as Gigabay, which will support the quick assembly and renovation of reusable rockets.

The company has been starting from Florida's east coast in Florida for almost two decades, but has not yet tried a start in the rockets in the missiles from the Sunshine State.

Starship missions were carried out exclusively in Texas, but the company is of the opinion that the spaceship as soon as it reliably becomes the new work horse in the space industry.

“As we are working on completing the Gigabay in Florida, we also design and plan a co-located production facility, similar to the StarFactory in Texas to enable the production of starships in Florida,” said the company in a statement. “In order to enable Florida's first Starship flights from the production, integration and our renovation systems of the room coast, we will first complete super heavy booster and star ships in the upper stage of Starbase via barga to build a star fleet in Florida. Reusability.”

In the investment, a new starting pad in the start complex 39a and a location in space start complex 37 are included at the nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force station.

The private space company has not yet received a federal approval for the Florida location, and the reviews of environmental contracts are still carried out by several agencies.

Several Starship tests in the Lone Star State have led to rubble that draw concerns that Raket starts can be harmful to the immediate surrounding ecosystem.

The state of Florida stated that 600 full-time jobs are based on the space coast by 2030 if the Starship program is likely to go well.

“Florida continues to use the pace for space innovation and break records with 93 starts in 2024-up of 74 in 2023 and the state is on the right track to continue this record-breaking dynamics in the future as a national leader in production, starting and business development and business development.”

It is unclear whether the SpaceX facility in Florida will be in operation if NASA plans to start the rocket during Artemis III mission to the moon with a crew.

The moon landing could take place by mid-2027, but was pushed back for several years due to delays and cost crossing that occurred with the SASA space launch system.

Elon Musk previously said that he would imagine that he has broken down with the ultimate goal of developing a self -supporting basis on which Mars is broken down.
