SpaceX's expansion of 1.8 billion US dollars in Florida to create 600 jobs by 2030

Governor Ron Desantis announced on Tuesday to expand SpaceX's decision, his starting capacities and processing business in Florida, and marked an important milestone for the state's aviation and space industry.

SpaceX's spaceship, the first quick and completely reusable carrier vehicle, is designed in such a way that it transferred crew and freight to the earth orbit, the moon, Mars and beyond.

SpaceX plans to build a new start and landing infrastructure at the Kennedy Space Center of NASA and the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, which is exposed to the environmental permit. The project will also contain a new integration system in Gigabay, which offers over 40 million cubic feet vehicle processing room. This expansion corresponds to a capital investment of $ 1.8 billion from SpaceX and is expected to create around 600 new full-time jobs on the space coast by 2030.

“Florida is the present and future of the space industry with a leading space company – like SpaceX – in the free state of Florida,” said governor Ron Desantis. “We welcome SpaceX's Starship in our state.”

The Vice President of SpaceX from Start, Kiko Donchev, emphasized the company's mission and said: “SpaceX was founded with the ultimate mission to make mankind multi-planetary, and the Starship is the vehicle that will enable us to make us space travel. The Secretary of the Florida Ministry of Transport, Jared W. Perdue, PE, emphasized the successes of the state and stated: “Florida continues to set the pace for space innovation and breaks with 93 starts in 2024 and the state is on the right track to continue this record-fitting into the future.”

The project is a highlight of the common efforts between SpaceX, Floridacommerce, the Florida Department of Transportation and Space Florida, which strengthens Florida's position as a leader in the aerospace and aviation industry.
