The parade started at 1 p.m. and showed several urban organizations and clubs.

Some parade participants threw sweets into the crowd, other accepted food donations from spectators.

The parade is organized annually by the Great if the Hibernian Order of the Old Order.

The Hibernians use the Parade Week as an opportunity to help Great Falls Community Food Bank.

Shaun Tatarka, director of Food Bank, said: “This is the second year in which the Hibernians did this for us at the parade, and that's why we are only thrilled to do it. They had a really good turnout last year. We hope for even more this year. The idea is to start something like this and grow and grow and grow, and you know before you know it is a really great grocery. “

The history of Montana and Irish-American history are closely woven together, with the state experiencing a great influx of Irish immigrants in the later parts of the 19th century and the 20th century.
