Duluth, Minn.– The search for the fourth football coach of the College of St. Scholastica's Program History ends with a familiar face that takes over the coat. The deputy head coach and offensive coordinator Matt Bremer was promoted to lead the football team from Saints.

In his two stints in eleven years with St. Scholastica, Bremer recently led a 2024 campaign, in which the saints in several offensive categories in the Miac were among the top 5 layers, including gate, overall courtyards, passports and efficiency of the red zone. This offensive performance helped the saint with their Miac victories in the program history last season. Bremer showed an obligation to ensure that his athletes are successful in the classroom and in the field. The 2024 team set up a GPA record of 3.26 and was active members on campus and in the wider community.

During his coaching career, Bremer headed over twelve all-conference players, five conference championships and NCAA Division III Playoff appearances. He was recently included in the St. Scholastica Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the 2011 Football Team employee in 2011. In addition, he was asked to speak in several coaching clinics and was honored at the AFCA National Convention.

“I am thrilled to continue the work already done to build and expand football,” said Bremer about his new role. “In my time in St. Scholastica, our program has always been a service. I am looking forward to continuing to serve our players, alumni, employees and the College of St. Scholastica in this role. I am very proud of what is connected to our program. “

Bremer continued: “I would like to thank Director of Athletics Jessica Cherry and the attitude committee for her hard work during this attitude process. I would also like to thank President Barbara McDonald for being entrusted with this opportunity for our committed employees and me. After all, I would like to have our alumni and our players for their unshakable support and their work to be founded. Football! “

Jessica Cherry, sports director, said about the new attitude: “Today is the beginning of a new era for our football program! I am very happy, our new head coach Matthew Bremer, a proven leader who on as well as on and outside the field the size, passion, commitment to excellence and profit takeover, the passion, passion, passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, the passion, passion, passion, passion, passion, passion, passion, passion, passion will bring in for a shitty and sharpening trip. “
