After yesterday's tragic event, we are relieved to report that the injuries of the UPMC memorial memorial are medically stable and progress in their recovery. We expand our sincere wishes for your complete and quick recovery. We have provided advice and spiritual care services to the employees on site, which will continue to be available in the coming week.

UPMC Memorial was closed to visitors at that time. We know that families and visitors are of crucial importance to help the patient heal, and we are working again to enable visits. There is no longer any police presence on campus, but the UPMC police and security have improved their presence and the campus is safe. The hospital continues to be redirected, but accepts all patients who arrive in the emergency room via a walk-in.

We thank the brave police officers and EMS providers who reacted to the incident, and our deepest sympathy for the family and colleagues of the officer, who sacrificed his life to save others, our deepest sympathy. We will be grateful for his bravery forever.
