One of the biggest stars from Boxing returns to the ring.

GERVONTA “Tank” Davis wants to produce the second defense of his WBA Lightweight belt on Saturday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, when he faces Lamont Roach Jr. Roach JR is the WBA Junior Lightweight Champion, but has not fought over 130 pounds since 2017.

Tank (30-0, 28 Kos) joined a devastating knockout of the previously unbeaten Frank Martin on June 15th. Roach Jr. (25-1-1, 10 Kos) also achieved an interruption victory in his last excursion on June 28th.

It is no secret of how devastating a puncher is this tank. He first went into the 12-round distance in his career, and that came against Isaac Cruz, who could possibly bring a shelter to the head without buzzing.

However, Davis is more than just a power puncher. He has a good defense and he is extremely efficient. Tank doesn't throw much, but he doesn't have to because he counts his strokes and because of the strength he exerts.

The 30 -year -old Davis also showed that he is great in putting pressure on his opponents and cutting off the ring, which finally allowed him to catch a smooth south paw in Martin in his last fight.

However, the 29 -year -old Roach Jr. is extremely skillful in his own right and he will need every piece of it. If Roach can climb from 130 pounds, it can have a small speed advantage over Davis, and this will work miracles for his chances of disturbing Davis. However, he cannot afford to be in motion too much when Martin tried to exceed the tank, but could not move at the frenetic pace in which he started the fight before it was finally switched off.

Roach Jr. also has to revise Davis. To come in a fight in which both fighters have a low performance, the tank will most likely give the edge in narrow rounds due to its strength.

Roach Jr. has an ascent, like most fighters when they step into the ring with a tank. Davis is a pound-for-pound talent and is more able to bring out the lights with every shot. However, if Roach Jr. defense and he can land on Davis, he could have a shot if he draws one of the greatest correspondence in recent memory. Nevertheless, the strength and efficiency of tank has proven to be too much, and if it is at the best side, another highlight sail could be in stock.
