Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkae offers street safety tips before the dangerous wet weather

With a dangerous wet weather system in the direction of the city, News12's Storm Watch Team -Metonologist from News12 is sure that they remain safe.

The meteorologist Hope Osemwenkae said that the first step towards security was to plan ahead.

“Wednesday morning would be the time to prepare … bring in trash can and make sure that you calculate your devices,” said Osemwenkae.

She noticed that the system entered the area during the evening. Osemwenkae said she should plan ahead by commuting home before the storm.

She also said to stay vigilant and pay attention to dilapidated trees and debris when strong winds are expected.

Osemwenkae encouraged those who can use public transit to use it as an alternative to driving.

But if you have to take to the streets, you will find some tips for AAA:

Do not use speed control in wet weather.

Slow down and leave enough space between your vehicle and the one in front of you.

If you hurl, panic. Keep the street in the eye, drive in the direction in which the vehicle should drive, and never yield the breaks.
