Storms roll this morning

Hazard, Ky. (Wymt) – Expect that fast winds will continue today in the morning.

First alarm weather days:

The first Alert Wetter team issued a first alarm weather day on Wednesday, as storm potentials are the main concerns with high wind speeds in the morning.

DISCUSSION:

If you go out of the door on Wednesday morning, warm temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s await you. There is a chance of storms before 9 a.m. if a system moves to the east through our area. After it's over, we will see light rain all day. A cold front transforms this rain in the evening and overnight into a winter mix and a snow. On Thursday morning, a slight dust of snow can cover grassy areas, although the streets should remain clear. The Thursday afternoon brings partly cloudy sky without precipitation. Another probability of rain arrives on Friday evening and will continue until Saturday morning.

The temperatures this week are very different. This morning we will experience the warmest conditions before we cool off this afternoon overnight to the upper 30s and low 30s. Thursday remains cool, with heights in the low 40s and over nights in the low 30s. The temperatures rise to the upper 50s on Friday, and this warmth will exist until the weekend. Next week we can expect another warming trend on Tuesday with the return of 60s on Monday and even the upper 60s to low 70s.

I wish you a nice Monday!
