Strider to start the 1st spring since the elbow operation

The Atlanta Braves announced on Sunday that Ace Spencer Strider, according to Justin Toscano from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, is expected to start on Monday in the spring games against the Boston Red Sox.

Strider will have his first spring start since an internal bracket was used in his right elbow in April 2024, which has a shorter schedule as Tommy John Operation. Some jugs have returned nine months after the internal bracketing process.

The 26-year-old was originally supposed to return at the end of April, but could be a little earlier than expected when his recovery through spring training progresses.

Strider has a career 3.47 ERA, 1.07 whip and 13.5 k/9 over four years at Atlanta.

The 2023 All-Star will take part in a rotation in which the reigning NL Cy Young winner Chris Sale, Reynaldo López, Spencer Schweellenbach and Grant Holmes can also be seen.
