Studies in the fire that destroyed the building that was used as a car business in O'Fallon

St. Louis, Mo (first alarm 4) – Firefighters continue to examine the cause of a massive fire that has destroyed a building that was used as a car repair shop in O'fallon on Friday evening.

Firefighters were sent to such a large shed or machine workshop on the Old Highway 79 in North O'fallon around 8:30 p.m. No injuries were reported in the fire that broke out in a time of considerable gusts of wind and caused firefighters to add additional problems.

Firefighters were on site for several hours to control the fire. No damage was reported to a house nearby on the property.

Near home owners, it reported to First Alert 4 that they heard what sounded like “pops” when the fire used the structure. O'fallon fire officers announced to First Alert 4 that the source of the noises could not be determined, but several combustible liquids and cars were on the property.
