Supercross 2025 Indianapoli's preview: top surfaces, former winners who can be seen

Ken Roczen selected a great week to win in the 8th round of the Monster Energy Supercross season at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. This victory gave him dynamics when he went to a track that has been friendly in recent years. Like Cooper Webb in Arlington, Texas, in 2021, Roczen found the repetition of his taste and swept three different runs this year in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

If this was not sufficiently statistically sufficient, he added another victory in 2023 and a second place last year.

And Roczen's statistics could be even better: he missed 2022 for an injury in 2022. Last year he swept the podium in the triple crown format, but lost to Jett Lawrence, who swept the Victory Lane.

Everyone expects Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton to continue their strength, and there are enough numbers in their favor to justify this faith. Sexton stood in the triple crown format of the past year on the podium with two third placements and one second. Webb was three times on the entire podium, including twice during the residence 2021. In the third and last races, he was the second place of Roczen.

This could be a great weekend for Justin Barcia. Since 2020 he has received three runners -up, the last of which came in 2023 when he crossed Rooczen under the Checkers behind Ken. As mentioned in the betting preview of this weekBarcia is a solid long shot with chances of winning +462 to be on the podium again, but he wants more. He believes that he can be the seventh winner this season.

In order to make things even more special, the Indianapolis race is dedicated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, so that the field races for a thing.

Six or more winners were presented 12 times in the Supercross series, but this is the second fastest that has reached this number. According to Clinton Fowler Wewentfast.comIn 1985 the sixth winner came in round 7 when Jeff was victory. He won the championship this year when two other drivers added their name in the list of winners.

Eight denotes the record for most winners. If Barcia, Jason Anderson or another victory are on the podium without winning, it is only the third time in history. There were more than six. In 1995 there were seven winners.

This will be the first showdown East / West in the 250 division. This is the earliest fans who have been fighting for dominance since 2019.

Indianapolis only organized an East / West showdown once when Jeremy Martin defeated the Peacock Analyst Adam Cianciarulo. Martin was later docked seven championship points because he had jumped on a flag of the Red Cross.

Fowler notes that this will be the 62nd time that the coast fights head on head. The West leads the series to 27 for the east with 34 wins.

The field is open this week because West Rider Haiden Deegan is the only racing driver with more than one win.

And it is everyone's assumption who the eighth winner could be, since the list of Siegless drivers with podium is also wide. Cole Davies has a few podiums, while Tom Vialle, Coty Schock, Michael Mosiman, Seth Hammaker and Daxton Bennick each have one. Cameron Mcadoo also has a podium, but Will not drive this week after a knee operation.
