Suspect in custody – NBC Boston

Authorities who examine the murder of a woman in Avon, Massachusetts on Tuesday, say that one person is in custody.

The police reacted to a house in Nichols Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. after a 911 call due to a non -reacting person. The police band blocked the house, which was surrounded by Kreuzern on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, a 53-year-old woman, had visible injuries and was determined to be dead, said the office of the district prosecutor of Norfolk County, Michael Morrissey.

The investigators said there were signs of a fight in the house.

“With information developed by the state police detectives, which were assigned to the public prosecutor's office of the Norfolk and the Avon police, a suspect was identified and arrested with the help of the Braintree police,” said Morrissey in a statement.

NBC10 Boston has received a video in which the man is handed over to the Avon police after his arrest in the South Shore Mall in Braintree.

The district prosecutor named the suspect or no charge, and found that the case would continue to be examined and treated as a murder.
