Suspect in custody: the police conduct active examinations at Butler Plaza Walmart, asks the public to avoid an area

Several law enforcement authorities are currently involved in an active examination in Butler Plaza Walmart (2900 SW 42nd Street).

Around 7:50 a.m. a call was obtained for suspicious activities, and witnesses reported that shots from a trailer/vehicle were heard in the parking lot. The topic is barricaded in the trailer.

The officials founded a radius and began to evacuate the surrounding business.

GPD has confirmed that shots have been fired, but there are no injuries.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
