Suspects arrested for shooting

Fresno County, California (KFSN) – A suspect was arrested for a shootout, in which a 17-year-old boy was killed in Fresno County over five years ago.

On Friday, the office of the Sheriff of the Fresno district announced that 28-year-old Allan Godinez Cardoso was arrested because of the death of 17-year-old Gregory Sanchez.

The shootout occurred around 1 p.m. on January 15, 2020 near Highway 145 and the Yuba Avenue in the small community of five points.

The Sheriff's office of the Fresno County says that an 18-year-old man and Sanchez were shot by someone in a car that had driven up next to her vehicle.

A third person in the vehicle was not impressed by the shots.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital, where Sanchez later died.

The investigators say that the shootout was connected to gangs.

Cardoso was admitted to Fresno County's prison for murder and two charges for murder.

Its deposit was set at 4.3 million US dollars.
