China's military has set up a zone for “live-fir training” around 46 miles off the southwestern coast of Taiwan without notice, the Department of Defense told the island on Wednesday.

It comes a day after the coast guard Taiwan had arrested a cargo ship in China that was suspected to cut an underwater cable on Taiwan-Straße.

The Ministry of Defense of Taiwan said that it discovered 32 Chinese military aircraft in Taiwan Street, which started on Wednesday shortly before 9 a.m. (Tuesday at 7.42 p.m. ET). It also added that 22 of these aircraft flew near the north and southwest of the island and, according to the statement, carried out a “joint standby patrol” with Chinese warships.

“During this time, the international norms were injured by unilaterally referring to a boring zone about 40 nautical miles off the coast of Kaohsiung and Pingung without prior warning and claimed that it would” carry out live-fir training, “said the ministry .

There was no immediate comment from Beijing to explain the Taiwan. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not comment when he was asked at a regular press conference on Wednesday, and said it was “not a diplomatic problem”.

China's governing communist party claims Taiwan as a territory, although he never controlled it, and has sworn to take the self -managed democracy by force. Under the Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Beijing has significantly reinforced military, diplomatic and economic pressure on Taiwan.

Kaohsiung, a strategic trade center for Taiwan, is home to the largest and most busy port on the island.

Taiwan's Ministry of Defense said China said the boring zone within the international shipping routes about temporary radio programs and presented “a serious threat to the security of international aviation and maritime navigation”.

“This is an obvious provocation against regional security and stability,” added the ministry.
