Take a look at the resources when March Madness releases

Burlington, Vt. (WCAX) – It is the selection on Sunday this weekend that March Madness tips over!

In these next few weeks, many Vermonter will become the cubes and bets which teams will win in their brackets.

But there are also concerns that some people are being torn along, which is why governor Phil Scott described March as a problematic month of consciousness.

The commissioner of Vermont Liquor & Lottery, Wendy Knight, says that there are opportunities to bring your gambling on a break when you notice any signs of difficulties. “I think if people get anxious when they play too much, as they know, these are signs that they may take a break and look at the available resources,” said Knight.

The Vermont Department of Liquor & Lottery reports that sports betting brought in 6.3 million US dollars in the state's general funds last year. That is actually about half a million when they thought, and Knight tells us that it is because more Verner betting the favorites – and the favorites have won.
