Take a look at these fun activities on the national children's craft day

Cape Girardeau, Mo (KFVS) – At the National Children's Craft Day Downes with the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri remained on Heartland afternoon to demonstrate funny activities for the family.

A natural journal and bracelets are easy and inexpensive to make.

Natural Journal Supplies:

  • Cardboard
  • Printer paper
  • Scissors
  • Hammer and nail
  • Wooden block (or another surface for hammering)
  • Binder clips
  • A stick or pencil
  • Needle and thread or string
  • Tongs
  • Permanent marker

As soon as the journal is gathered, parents can add rooms for children to record their results in nature.

The bracelets are even easier and only require double -sided adhesive tape or packing tape.

Wrap the adhesive tape around the wrist of a child and then let them collect nature.

“This is a great way to get children outside, search and have fun,” said Kelly Downes.

Friday is the national children's craft day and we have a very special guest to show some nice ways to include the children

Downes is the executive director of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri.

The non -profit organization is currently located from its former location in the St. N. Spanish in Cape Girardeau to Scout Hall on Broadway.

The Arts Council currently offers Afterschool programs in cooperation with the Boys and Girls Club by Southeast Missouri.

With regard to the future, registration is open to the Happy Campers Project, a summer program with which children can take part in practical art courses.
