Take part in the Turtle Watch Volunteer Meeting in Gulf Shores

Gulf shortes, ala. – (Oba) – Share the beach founded in 2005 and protect endangered sea turtles that nest from Alabama's beaches from May to October. Volunteers play a crucial role in this mission by patrolling the beaches, raising public and school groups, carrying out late -evening nest observations and supporting preparations for supply and equipment.


The goals of the program include the mitigating effects of people on marine turtles, especially those caused by artificial light pollution. Monitoring of sea turtles nests and young animals along the coast of Alabama; and promotion of preservation through public relations and education.


The proportion of the Alabama Coastal Foundation beach program organizes on Tuesday, March 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the Erie Meyer Civic Center, which is located in the 1930 West 2nd Street, Gulf Shores, AL 36542, in Erie Meyer Civic Center. This event is essential for new volunteers who are present to participate in the seam of Sea Turtle effort in the excitement of Alabamas.


For those who cannot take part in the Gulf Shores meeting, an additional meeting for Thursday, March 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the Shelby Auditorium in Dauphin Island Sea Lab in the 101 Bienville Boulevard, Dauphin Island, AL 36528.
