TC Energy is approaching the Southeast Gateway pipeline on duty.

(P&GJ) -Tc Energy Corp. has achieved mechanical completion in its Southeast Gateway Pipeline project and kept the company up to date for an expected date on May 1, 2025.

The project, an important development of the infrastructure on the natural gas market Mexico, reached the mechanical completion on January 20, 2025 with final golden weld seams in CoattaCoalcos and Paraíso. The estimated final costs are approximately 3.9 billion US dollars, at the lower end of the former guidelines of TC Energy and 13% below the original cost estimate.

“After completing the remaining projects, we are in line with the CFE to complete the project,” said François Poirier, President and CEO of TC Energy. “This pipeline offers Southeast -Mexico to secure access, reliable and affordable energy and marks a material turning point for our company.”

The Southeast Gateway Pipeline is the first public-private partnership of TC Energy with the Mexican Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE). Once in operation, it is expected to play a crucial role in improving energy security and reliability in the region.

TC Energy continues to promote the final activities of the last project before the planned date of the service.
