Teams and Caa games – The Hofstra Chronicle

The Hofstra University softball team made the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) championships as 6th seeds in the 2023-2024 season. At the end of the year they were 23-26, but at the conference 17-10.

Before the start of the conference game this season, Hofstra Softball will take part in two classics and an invitation.

From Friday, February 14th to Sunday, February 16, they play at the Gattermann Classic Baylor University and Oklahoma University. Baylor organizes the Gattermann Stadium. Hofstra last played Baylor in May 2007 and March 2008. Hofstra last played Oklahoma in February 2019 and May 2023.

Oklahoma and Baylor played each other from 1979-1980 to 2024. Oklahoma University has won 8 NCAA championships, and in 2024 their record was 59: 7 and they won the Norman Regional and Women's College World Series. In ESPNS USA Softball Collegiate Top 25, Oklahoma is occupied in third place. Baylor ended in 2024 with a record of 36-23. They won the regional Lafayette, but ultimately lost in the Gainesville Super regionally. Baylor is Collegiate Top 25 from ESPN in the USA.

From Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23, pride will play Charleston Southern University, Liberty University and Radford University twice in the Liberty Softball Classic. The classic is organized by Liberty in the Liberty Softball Stadium. Hofstra played three times in May 2018, February 2020 and February 2022, but never played Radford or Charleston Southern.

From Friday, February 28th to March 2, Hofstra plays twice the Cornell University, Seton Hall University and the University of Virginia twice at the party in Palmer Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia. The last time that Hofstra Seton Hall was playing was in 2021. Hofstra played on February 24, 2002 for the first time Seton Hall. Hofstra once played Cornell University in March 2020.

The University of Virginia was in the NCAA championship 2024. In the Knoxville region, they ultimately fell to the University of Tennessee. Virginia is located in the NCAA ranking for the 2025 season.

Campbell University is one of the hardest teams in the conference. Although Hofstra did not play in the regular 2024 season, Hofstra played her in the CAA championships, where the pride lost. Hofstra will play a series with them from March 28th to 30th.

For non-conference games this season, the Pride game at Fordham University on March 12, on March 18 at Howard University, on March 19 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, on April 2 at Rutgers University and at St. John's University at St. John's University on April 23. Hofstra will organize Saint Peter University on April 9th.

One of the most challenging teams with which Hofstra is confronted is the University of Delaware. According to the CAA pre -season, you will be a difficult team against which you can play. Hofstra organizes a series with three games against the fightine 'Blue Hens from March 21st to 23rd.

UNC-Wilmington, the reigning Caa master, won the pride as a visiting team from March 29 to 31. Hofstra will be the host from April 11th to April 13th.
