The dream of every college basketball player is to realize the NCAA tournament and play for a national championship, and while many of them don't get the chance, a few have the opportunity to play for another after season title.
The national invitation tournament – generally known as NIT – is another NCAA after season tournament, which actually began in 1938, a year before the NCAA tournament, which we know today, and actually the more prestigious event for decades. Now in 2025 it is obviously not the same attraction as March Madness, but NIT offers teams the opportunity to play together again and win a post -season title -and those who have just missed the NCAA tournament the opportunity to prove the selection committee incorrectly.
There are other post-season tournaments such as the college basketball crown and the college basketball invitation, but the NIT still remains a respected event fans and teams in a great interest in winning. Now that the men's NCAA tournament has been released, it is time to see who will play in NIT:
