Telangana-MLC elections 2025: BJP bags Medak-Nizamabad-Karimnagar-Adilabad seat | India News

Elangana -MLC election result: The ruling congress party in Telangana had a setback when the BJP and the PRTU secured victories in two teachers of the MLC electoral group for teachers. While the BJP used candidates for all three seats, the congress only played the constituency of graduates, and the BRS decided to stay out of the race. Counting for the elections of the Telangana legislative Council elections in two constituencies and a constituency of graduates took place on Monday.

The BJP candidate Malka Komaraiah was the winner at the MLC competition of Medak-Nizamabad-Karimnagar-Adilabad Teachers. Pingili Sripal Reddy von Prtu won in the Nalgonda Warangal Khammam-Teacher constituency and defeated the sitting MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy from the United Teachers Federation.

In the constituency of Karimnagar teachers, Komaraiah secured 12,959 votes and exceeded the required profit rate of 12,073 votes. His closest candidate, the official PRTU candidate Vanga Mahender Reddy, received 7,182 votes, while Ashok Kumar received 2,621 votes. The independent candidate and former MLC Kura Raghotham Reddy only achieved 428 votes. A total of 25,041 votes were given, whereby 24,144 were classified as valid and 897 were declared invalid.

Telangana BJP President and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy congratulated the winner. “Hearty Congratulations to Shri Malka Komaraiah Garu On Winning the Telangana Mlc Election from the Medak-Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad (Teachers') Constituency. This Victory is a testament of the overwelming and growing support for the bjp and the leadership of Hon'Ble PM Narendra Modi in Telangana.

The election results were evident in the shift in political dynamics, with the internal divisions between teacher unions significantly influencing the result.
