Terps Place first in the Maryland Quad meet with 196.175 points

College Park, MD – – Maryland gymnastics placed First at his Maryland Quad meeting with a score of 196.175 at Senior Day, Sunday. It was achieved for the third time this season over the 196 mark. The terps competed against Towson, George Washington and Yale. It was the second time in two days against Towson and George Washington.

Maryland was exceptional on the uneven poles during his second rotation. The five best scorers all achieved over 9,800. Hailey Merchant achieved 9,925 and Sierra Kondo added a 9,900. The score of the Merchant put a new career high and was the second best score among all competitors. Maryland's team score of 49.325 was the highest of all competing schools.

The Terrapins ended the meeting on the ground, scored 48,875 as a team and took second place among competing schools. Rhea Leblanc led the terps with a 9,850 and led Gianna Ruffing It added a 9,775 to set a new career best for the event.

Maryland's third rotation on the beam was mentioned by Madeline KomoroskiThe 9,000 points scored and scored the first highest score. The beam line -up of the TERPS was constant because all four competitors scored over a 9,800 points. Her 49.075 points as a team was the highest among all schools.
