Texas DPS arrested two criminal immigrants in Hidalgo County | South Texas

Weslaco, Texas – The Texas special agents for public security arrested two criminals from Mexico, including a previously deported criminal, in Hidalgo County at the weekend. The arrests occurred after shots could be heard during a surveillance operation on Sunday morning.

Hugo Alberto Lopez Herrera, a 47-year-old, was seen with a pistol in front of a residence in the Missiona Road in Minnesota. When the agents approached, Lopez Herrera tried to flee inside and opposed the arrest. Another person, 21-year-old Hugo Alberto Lopez Piedra, disrupted one of the agents who also resisted the arrest, as can be seen from a press release from the Texas Ministry for Public Security.

Special Agents discovered a 9 -mm pistol for the royer and 46 spent upholstery sleeves at the crime scene. Lopez Herrera is accused of fatal behavior, possession of a firearm by a criminal and the arrest resisted. Lopez Piedra is accused of resisting the arrest and affecting public obligations.

Lopez Herrera has a crime history that includes illegal entry, drug possession and sales as well as money laundering. Lopez Piedra has earlier crimes for driving during the intoxicating and drug possession and distribution. Both people were instructed to the Hidalgo County prison, with immigration half of the US enforcement and distance surgery.
