Texas Tech announces the schedule for the theme game for 2025 football season

Lubbock, Texas (press release) – Texas Tech announced his theme schedule for the 2025 football season on Thursday, in which the agricultural game on September 6th against Kent State and the annual home celebrations on October 11th against Kansas.

The Texas Tech opens a Home Slate against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on August 30, with the theme plan begining a week later with the agricultural game against Kent State. Below you will find a complete breakdown of the various themed games from Texas Tech this season.

September 6th against Kent State – Agricultural Game: The promotion of Agriculture Game is part of a partnership between the athletics department and the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and National Resources, whereby the harvest, cattle and technologies that are prominent for Texas Tech and South Plains. Representatives from the agricultural industry to the national prominent yurt teams at the university will be one of the honored awards of the entire game.

September 13 against Oregon State – Raider Power Game: Texas Tech will recognize his Energy Partners in the second annual Raider-Power game to close the non-conference game. The Raider Power Game will have a specialized fan color scheme that will be announced this summer.

October 11 against Kansas – home: The Jayhawks will serve as Homecoming opponents of Texas Tech this season, since Alumni from all over the world will return to Lubbock for a weekend full of festivities. A complete list of return events will be announced in the weeks that lead to the game.

October 25 against Oklahoma State – parents and family weekend: Texas Tech will organize his annual doctorate for parents and family weekend for the 51st meeting between the Red Raiders and Cowboys.

November 8th vs. Byu – Hall of Fame Weekend and celebrate America game: Texas Tech will continue his longstanding tradition, to honor the brave heroes who fought for our country with his Celebrate America game. Texas Tech will recognize every branch of the military and its campus military and veteran program throughout the game. This will also be the Hall of Fame weekend from Texas Tech, where class 2025 is honored during the game. Class 2025 for the Texas Tech Hall of Fame will be announced later this summer.

November 15 against UCF – Senior Day: Texas Tech will honor his senior class in front of the kickoff with a ceremony in the field with head coach Joey McGuire and the families of every Red Raider senior.

Seasons and television names for the entire non-conference slate from Texas Tech are expected to be presented by the BIG 12 Conference Office in the coming months. All remaining conference games either fall under a 12-day or six-day television window.

As a reminder, the deadline for season ticket holders to renew their places for the 2025 campaign ends on Friday (February 28th).
