Thailand to work with Cambodia, Laos to curb fraudsters

Bangkok – The Thai government will continue to carry out Call Center fraud networks in neighboring countries by working with the Falls Myanmar with the governments of Cambodia and Laos, said the deputy prime minister of Thai deputy Prime Minister Phumham Wechayachai.

On February 22, Phumtham emphasized the government's proactive efforts to combat Call Center fraud in his Facebook post.

He explained that Call Center is transnational crimes that have a direct impact on the life of Thai and foreign nationals. He noticed that the government understood that the solution to this problem requires a systematic approach, not just arrests from criminals.

This includes cutting off crime operations, supporting the victims and setting up international cooperation in order to prevent such crimes from being repeated, since no single country can approach this topic alone.

In the past time, Thailand Proactive has worked with China and Myanmar to cut water, electricity and fuel in five important places along the Thai border in order to weaken call center gangs and set their activities effectively.

In addition, Thailand discussed plans for the cooperation with Laos, which led to a joint effort between the two countries, against drug persecution, human persecution and cybercrime. The leaders of both countries had signed a declaration of intent for their cooperation.

A total of 628 Chinese victims were returned during a three -day company. The efforts were part of a larger plan to help victims held by criminal gangs in Myanmar's Myawaddy.
