Than's 'Majhi TMT' app sees 11,730 downloads, 2.7 Lakh ticket sales in two months

The TMT service (TMT) by Thanicipal Transport (TMT) receives a positive reaction of passengers with the mobile app in the city “Majhi TMT” in the city. According to TMT officials, the application of 'Majhi TMT' was downloaded from the Apple App Store about 2,340 times and 9,390 times from the Android Play Store within two months. In addition, 4,016 tickets were bought on the app in January, with 48,303 GBP being achieved for revenue. In February the number of tickets sold rose to 14,944, which corresponds to 2.22,759 GBP.

Bhalchandra Hierure, manager at TMT, said: “The mobile application of 'Majhi TMT' was launched in October 2024 by the former CM and the current deputy CM Eknath Shinde. With the app to improve the passenger experience for TMT services, the app enables passengers to buy digital tickets via UPI and make your trip cashless. “He added that the app initially had some technical problems when starting. Tickets that are bought via the app are valid for 90 minutes from the purchase time.

According to TMT officials, the 'Majhi TMT' app helps to reduce problems with dealing with cash, especially with regard to changes. It enables the passengers to check the tariffs for their goals and to minimize disputes with ladders over fare. In addition, the app offers several digital payment options, including UPI, debit cards, credit cards and NET banking. The app also offers real-time bus tracking, estimated arrival times and route details. Passengers can enter their starting point and their destination to obtain information about available buses and fare details.
