On Saturday, March 15, 2025, officials from the Lagrange Police Department responded to the 1235 Hogansville Road in relation to a suicide attempt.

When the officials arrived, they found the 15-year-old woman in her apartment with her family. Further studies showed that the 15-year-old had threatened to jump off the balcony after having a physical fight with various family members.

During the fight, the 15-year-old armed himself with a knife and beat a 19-year-old woman near her neck, which caused a small, non-life-threatening injury. The 15-year-old was taken into custody for serious bodily harm, while certain crimes used a knife and a crime obstruction.

The department for criminal investigations examines the matter and everyone with information about this case is asked to contact Detective Horseman at 706-883-2603. Information can also be shared anonymously via Troup County Crimestopper on the phone number 706-812-1000.
