The 41-year-old Tennessee Man stabbed the 18-year-old after finding him in bed with his wife, say police officers

A man from Tennessee was accused of killing an 18-year-old after finding him in bed with his wife.

After Jonathan Belk, 41, had been arrested because he had stabbed Billy J Floyd, he allegedly told the police that he was concerned about his relationship with his wife because “I said goodbye”.

Belk had found Floyd with his 31-year-old Ms. Jada Gholston in her common Dunlap, Tennessee Home, about 40 miles north of Chattanooga.

He had returned to the house from a working trip earlier than expected.

The police said Belk stabbed Floyd to death before filling his body into a dash can. Floyd's body was in a fetal position when the officers found him loudly Law & Crime. He had turned 18 three days before the encounter.

On arrival on site, the police found Belk “covered with blood in his door,” reported the outlet.

Belk's wife allegedly had several stab wounds from the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She had notified the police and informed them that a “unimaginated man” had attacked her friend while being in bed.

He said he had left the alleged murder, “worried about my relationship with my wife because I said goodbye,” the police reported.

Belk was charged with criminal murder and is held in the Sequatchie County prison.

An investigation continues. The police were still unable to find the knife used in the attack.

A gofundme has been set up to support the funeral costs of Floyd. At the time of the letter, it had achieved 1,295 US dollars of a target of 2,000 US dollars.

According to his obituary, the teenager liked to hunt down, fishing and worked four wheeler. “Most of the time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends,” it says on the page.

The police say there is no continuing threat to the community.

“This is an isolated incident in this house, and there is no reason to assume that someone else would be in any danger,” said Sheriff Bill Phillips, Sheriff of Sequatchie County.
