The 62-year-old armed with AR-15, which was killed in the officer, included shooting in Orlando Art Studio

Fla.-a dispute between two artists in Orlando ended with a shooting involved by officer on Saturday morning.

According to the Orlando police, they were called to the Faith Arts Village Orlando shortly after 2:30 a.m., a art studio complex on the east Colonial Drive.

Witnesses said that the two artists worked in their art studios overnight when an SMS argument escalated.

According to the police, the victim called in 911 and said they were afraid for his life when a 62-year-old man started to hit her door with an AR-15 rifle.

The police said when they arrived that the 62-year-old refused to drop the gun and forced the Orlando police to open fire, shoot and kill the man.

“If a person has an AR-15, she has grown to them. This is a fatal strength situation. The officials are trained to answer, ”said Eric Smith, police chief of Orlando.

The voluntary security officer of the complex, Eric Wood, said that he had observed how the officials came to the faith village and asked the 62-year-old to drop his gun.

He says he voluntarily registered in Park Lake Presbyterian Church, who belongs to the property for over a decade, to ensure the safety of the artists who work late at night.

“You shouted several times to tell him that he should step down. Put your gun off. He didn't listen to, ”said Wood.

According to Wood, the suspect had rented Studio room in the Faith Arts Village Orlando since about 2021.

Wood said he was grateful that the police came when they did it.

“The police officers did their job to ensure the neighborhood safely,” said Wood.

The police in Orlando said that the three officials involved had activated their bodies and not injured. OPD said

“As with all the shootings affected by officers, FDLE will carry out an independent review of the incident that will be handed over to the public prosecutor. In addition, the Orlando police will carry out their own internal investigations, ”said Orlando police.
