The Allentown police defend the use of violence in the viral arrest video

Allentown, PA -The police department of Allentown has addressed a viral social media video that shows an official who used violence in December 2023 and found that the actions of the civil servant were justified.

The incident occurred on December 23 at around 2:00 a.m. after the officials had replied to a 9-1-1 call from the staff of bar on two minor women who caused a disorder. After saying that they should go, the people first stopped, but later returned to the entrance. When she rejected repeated instructions to show and show signs of impairment, an official tried to arrest her. The police say that the suspects resisted, which led to the use of violence.

Both people were charged with several crimes, including simple bodily harm, resistance to arrest and minor drinking. In 2024 they entered the ARD program from Lehigh County.

A review of the department showed that the application for violence by the official agreed with the guidelines. The police emphasized that the camera material carried with body offers a more comprehensive report than the social media clip.
