The Arkansa's State Police examines the shootout of the Trooper-Involvied shootout in Mississippi County

The state police of Arkansas examine a fatal shootout with a trooper-affected shootout after a nine-hour patient situation in the Mississippi County.

The incident began on February 25, 2025 at 5 p.m. when ASP reports that officials from the Leachville police department and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Sheriff reacted to reports on shots in a residence in the 800 block of the Elm Street in Leachville.

On arrival, a Lachville officer spoke to hearing shots from a bedroom in the house with a family member who reported.

When the deputies of the sheriff office arrived, the suspect was fired on her as a 55-year-old Jonathan Mark Robins from Leachville from a bedroom window. The deputies withdrew and demanded backup.

Specialized units of the Arkansas state police, including Swat, the bomb squad and the negotiators, were sent on site.

At around 2:20 a.m., Robins reported reported the house with a knife and a pistol that ran into a nearby carport.

Robins fired his weapon and asked ASP Swat members to return fire and beat him.

Despite the immediate medical aid, Robins was injured at 5 a.m. by the Mississippi Coroner at 5 a.m. for totally law enforcement officers for the confrontation.

Agents of the crime of Arkansa's State Police Criminal Investigation Divisions will create an investigation report for the public prosecutor of Mississippi County, who will assess whether the application of deadly violence has complied with state laws.

Robins' body is sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the official nature and the cause of death.
