The Australian batter is putting a difficult challenge in the Final ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Group Match

Lahore [Pakistan]February 27 (Ani): Marnus Labuschagne recognizes the upcoming challenge and does not underestimate the difficulty of her opponents in her final group phase game at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 according to the official website of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Marnus Labuschagne said that Australia will win their final group game at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 if they compete against Afghanistan on Friday – and they know what to expect.

In 2023, the 30-year-old was the Cricket World Championship of the ICCHH men back when his team with 19 remaining balls a three-wicked victory against Afghanistan achieved an undefeated 201 by Glenn Maxwell.

Afghanistan had made a difficult chase of 291 – and her bowling attack took seven Australian gates in this encounter.

“When we hit, we will try to fight your shoot through the middle, which was really a strong point,” Labuschagne told reporters on Thursday, as quoted by the ICC.

“Your pace bowling was very good in the last games, Noor Ahmed started very well, you closed very well last night,” he added.

“When we entered their eyelashes, we saw that the last time we played Afghanistan [actually 291] And Maxwell played these amazing innings and brought us across the line, ”he noticed.

Labuschagne rejected the proposal that Afghanistan could be considered an outsider and added: “We know how good they are. We know how high they play. But we will make sure that we are really well prepared and bring together really good performance.”

He also added that Australia will not be deterred by crowd noise in favor of their opponents – or the weather.

So far, Rain has achieved several games in this tournament – including Australia's planned game against South Africa in Rawalpindi – but Labuschagne says that the preparation of Australia has made no difference.

“Most of our preparation came before the tournament,” he said. “We had a training rain and then the game rain against South Africa, and our training is now inside. The boys played a lot, we are ready to go. If they come to these tournaments, they have to be ready to play,” he said.

Australia's sole excursion at Champions Trophy 2025 has so far been a win of five Wicket against England, and Labuschagne says that the all-round team performance in this encounter is good for the rest of the tournament.

“It feels like we're in the Clinch part of the tournament and we only played one game. Josh Inglis played astonishingly with Alex Carey in this Middle period. There were different parts of the game in which different people stood up.

“When we go into the game of tomorrow, we all have to be ready. (Ani)
