The Australian Grand Prix result was revoked when the decision was made hours after the race -sport

The first race of the new Formula -1 season ends in Australia and has turned out to be a victory for Lando Norris.

He held four times the world champion Max Verstappen to finish first, while George Russell was the third man who was on the podium when the checkered flag was won.

Only a few seconds behind it was Williams driver Alex Albon, who crossed the finish line after Kimi Antonelli, but scored fourth place when the Mercedes driver was hit with a five second penalty to hit him to beat him … Oh no, they hang on for a minute.

In bad news for Albon, his fourth place in the Australian Grand Prix was undone after the F1 announced that Antonelli's five -second penalty would be lifted.

Sorry Alex.

In the past, Antonelli was judged that she had been released in the box in the pit lane in the path of Nico Hulkenberg, which meant that the Mercedes driver was beaten with a five -second penalty, who landed behind Albon in the last overall ranking in the Australian Grand Prix.

Antonelli had started the race in P16 and fought to make it up to P4 before the penalty hit him in the final overall ranking, but he and Albon were switched back after it was checked and removed.

Mercedes applied for a “right of review” for her husband Antonelli and in a hearing she presented “video of the previously not available Roll Hoop camera”.

The new film material together with a video that was recorded from a helicopter that Stewards had not seen, prompted race officers, to decide that Antonelli should have no punishment.

“It is clear that Car 12 only drove into the fast lane at a quick distance into the pit lane and only after the driver checked his mirror to confirm the release with Car 27,” said the stewards in their argument.

“The Roll Hoop camera shows that it had enough space to surely exceed the McLaren pits without the risk of the McLaren -Mechanics.”

Back to fourth place means that Antonelli records two additional points in the overall ranking.

Since this is the first race of the season, the overall ranking is essentially a copy of the racing's carbon, but the Australian Grand Prix was really Lando Norris' to dominate when he recorded the pole position and the fastest round together with the victory.

After the first race, the teams of McLaren and Mercedes are connected with 27 points a piece for the constructor championship when Lando Norris won the race, but his McLaren teammate Oscar Piatri became ninth.

Antonelli, who had come back to fourth place, meant that he and third -placed George Russell also scored the same amount of points.

F1 will return to the Chinese Grand Prix next week.
