The Boston NWSL Club gives nickname in the middle of criticism before the first game

Boston – Boston's expansion National Women's Soccer League Team is renamed before the team ever plays a game.

The team, which is scheduled to start next year, will be given a new name in the coming weeks to replace Bos Nation, the club said on Friday evening.

The name BOS Nation was presented in October with a widely criticized marketing campaign “Too many balls” that some viewed some. A day later, the team apologized and said it “missed” the brand to “create a brave and Buwwushy start -up campaign”.

The decision was made after discussions with fans and stakeholders as well as surveys and other analyzes, the team said.

“The club thanks to our supporters, whose passionate votes we deeply appreciate – not only for their unshakable support, but also for their honest and critical feedback,” said majority partner Jennifer Epstein in a statement. “We could not have completed this process without your input. We want to build a permanent heritage that causes all of our fans to welcome us welcome, and proudly to carry our colors and to cheer our names for the coming generations. “

Boston and an expansion team in Denver will bring the NWSL to 16 teams if they play next year.
