The Career Day of the United Day School presents various professions

The United Day School held its career day last week and brought together parishioners to offer students from PP3 to eighth grade with a unique opportunity to explore various professions.

Elsa Morales, school consultant and event coordinator, said this year's topic was “passion for her career”.

“This emphasized how important it is to find joy and fulfillment on the professional journey,” she said. “These committed people took the time from their busy schedules to share insights into their career and inspired the students to pursue their passions with commitment and hard work.”

At the event, engineers, construction workers, police officers, Laredo Heat soccer coach, doctors, lawyers and veterinarians were presented.

The career day began with guest speakers who visited classrooms, in which they worked in discussions about their respective areas.

After these sessions, the students changed outdoors to experience exciting demonstrations by the Swat team, the Border Patrol Specialty Unit and other community organizations.

“The students fascinated these interactive presentations and enabled them to achieve practical career in different careers,” she said. “It is really heartwarming to see that these experts take their suitable schedule to share their specialist knowledge with our future managers.”

Rita Peters, headmistress, thanked the moderators for their commitment to the design of the heads of future leaders.

“It is a great honor to see so many people in the community on the plants of a seed that will be successful for our students in their future,” she said.

Dr. Alfredo Camero, a gastroenterologist and one of the spokesman for the event, shared his enthusiasm for the leadership of young heads to the medical field.

“It is a challenging job, but it is very fulfilling that people feel better,” he said.

Jake Rivera, the eighth grader, said that he has now had a good idea of ​​which he would go into his future after being fascinated by the technical presentation.

As a sign of appreciation, the students received a variety of gifts and souvenirs from the moderators, so that they had left permanent memories and a new feeling of inspiration.

Morales also said that the United Day School's career day was a resounding success.

“The event has strengthened the importance of passion, perseverance and support of the community in the design of the leaders of tomorrow,” she said.
