The Commission for Public Services in Missouri orders the investigation of the settlement of Liberty Utilities billing

Dallas County, Mo (KY3) – The Commission for Public Services in Missouri has now instructed an investigation into Liberty Utilities after the customers had not received their bills for months due to a new billing system.

“I got someone who sent me my bill that was almost $ 1,000.”

Samantha Wilson says she has had problems with her Liberty Utilities since August. She noticed that automated invoice payments were not withdrawn from her account.

“I really noticed it in October. And it took a grip on someone until December, ”said Wilson.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has intervened and instructed the employees to examine Liberty's billing questions. Many say the problems started after Liberty switched to a new billing system last year.

We asked about the investigation of the Commission. They contested an interview in front of the camera, but sent us this statement.

Wilson is not the only person with whom Ky3 spoke about billing questions. Kim Smitherman had billing questions in March last year. She even sent a complaint to the Missouri Public Commission.

“It is just a pain to call every month and not to have a bill, and then, whenever you do it, you will receive a massive four -month bill,” said Smitherman.
