From the manufacturer's resource center
The Manufacturer Resource Center (MRC) is proud to announce the online vote for the ninth anniversary year of the Berks Schuylkill, which is so cool on Wednesday, March 19, at 12:01 p.m. The vote is open to the participants and the public, who may vote for more than one video and as often as they want. The winner will be announced during the Contest Awards event on Tuesday, April 1st, in the DoubleTree of Hilton Reading.
Student teams from 31 regional middle school teams are fighting for most voices to win the coveted “Viewers Choice Award”. The videos are also checked by a jury of judges for awards in 11 other categories, including the best CTE story, outstanding processing and outstanding creativity.
“We are pleased to celebrate the growth of our Berks Schuylkill competition at our annual award,” said Rich Hobbs, MRC President and CEO. “While we expect another record reaction, it is the hard work and cooperation between the students, teachers and manufacturers as well as the effects of sharing their message about manufacturing opportunities here in our region.”
The continuing success and growth of the program are attributed to the efforts that the teachers and students have undertaken in the community since their foundation. MRC and its partners Berks Business Education Coalition, EMediaworks, Kutzown Small Business Development Center, Sahl Communications, Inc. and many sponsors of the community are still obliged to sustainhip the program.
