The crews react to Freon -Leck in Sharp Building near downtown Lincoln

Lincoln, along with (Koln) – What started as a fire alarm in the sharp building on Thursday morning turned out to be a freon leader in the structure.

According to MJ Liman, the public information officer of Lincoln Fire and Rescue, the call as a fire alarm came out at 7:30 a.m. and discovered a Freon Leck in the 4th and 5th floor.

The building mainly houses companies, and most employees did not have to get to work yet when the crews arrived. Only a handful of people had to be evacuated.

Freon has previously leaked in the building, and the maintenance team of the building helps the crews to assess its source, said Lierman.

It is assumed that the leak comes from a refrigerant source. There was no threat to the public.

The Lincoln-Lancaster Ministry of Health will continue to evaluate the effects of the leak, said Lserman.
